The Pro-Patch asphalt truck is more energy-efficient than a flameless pothole patcher because it takes less energy to heat asphalt to the proper temperature with propane than with electricity. Heat transfer oil (what competitors use) is expensive and very heavy to transport.
HD Industries’ patented dry radiant heat system heats asphalt aggregate by approximately 10 degrees per minute. That means the Pro-Patch takes only 25-30 minutes to heat to the proper temperature.

BETTER INSULATION
Better insulation means less heat transfer, which keeps your asphalt aggregate hotter longer.
The asphalt aggregate hopper and road oil tank are fully insulated with 2" industrial, high-temperature, 12R factor insulation encased in a double steel jacket—the best in the industry.
